Mayor Eric Adams’ longtime right-hand, Ingrid Lewis-Martin, allegedly accepted more than $75,000 in bribes in exchange for political favors while in her powerful role in City Hall, a bombshell set of new indictments revealed Thursday allege. Lewis-Martin faces bribery and conspiracy charges in four separate criminal indictments – all unsealed by the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office – that detail her often brazen and profane alleged corruption. The former top Adams official and her son, Glen Martin II, allegedly tried to steer lucrative migrant shelter contracts toward favored property owners and helped fast-track approvals for karaoke bars in exchange for $50,000 in cash, according to one of the indictments.
