A serial child rapist in Louisiana has been sentenced to surgical and chemical castration after pleading guilty to the attempted rape of a 7-year-old girl, according to authorities and reports. Thomas Allen McCartney, a “Tier Three” sex offender with a long rap sheet of child sex abuse, accepted the punishment on Tuesday as a part of a plea deal for attempted first-degree rape of a child under the age of 13, Fox 12 reported. McCartney, 37, agreed to the surgical and chemical castration and will also serve 40 years in prison under the plea deal, the outlet said.
