Trump administration can terminate Temporary Protected Status for more than 60,000 migrants, appeals court rules

A federal appeals court ruled in favor of President Trump on Wednesday, allowing his administration to terminate Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for more than 60,000 migrants from Honduras, Nicaragua and Nepal. In a unanimous decision, the three-member panel of judges on the 9th US Circuit Court of Appeals halted a lower court order that had blocked the Trump administration from eliminating temporary deportation protections and revoking work permits from the migrants.   “The government’s motion for a stay pending appeal …  is granted,” Circuit Judges Michael Hawkins ( a Bill Clinton appointee), Consuelo Callahan (a George W.
