ICE agents launched a targeted operation at a California jail Tuesday, drawing protesters that demanded federal officers clear out as the facility went into lockdown. A person identifying themself as an ICE operative told KSBW that agents were conducting a targeted operation involving people at the Monterey County Jail in Salinas. Officials did not disclose who was being targeted or whether arrests were made.
