Fort Hood mass shooter Nidal Hasan’s execution by firing squad will be in public at Fort Hood, the base where he slaughtered 13 people in 2009, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth revealed Thursday. “We’re gonna make sure it’s going to make sure that people are able to watch it, that it’s public, because people need to understand that there’s serious consequences for these types of things,” Hegseth said when asked by Real America’s Voice about the fate of the former Army major, who has been on military death row since 2013. The defense chief said he believes it’s important Hasan be executed on the Texas base where he carried out the mass murder.
