The illegal migrants wanted for slashing an off-duty NYPD detective during a botched robbery in the Bronx have been arrested while hiding in a basement in Massachusetts, police said Wednesday. D’Angelo Caraballo, 25, and Sneider Mejia, 24, both from the Dominican Republic, were found by the US Marshals Service hiding in a basement of a home in Lynn and taken into custody overnight, according to the NYPD. They will be brought back to New York City to face attempted murder charges, the department said.
