A deranged former TV news anchor has been sentenced to life in prison for murdering her elderly mother on Halloween — having claimed she “had to kill her” because she was “the devil. ” Angelynn “Angie” Mock, who for years had worked as a morning news host in St. Louis and Oklahoma City, pleaded guilty to murdering her 80-year-old mom, Anita Avers, on Halloween morning last year at their home in Wichita, Kansas.
