Navy officials have promised to load up on supplies ahead of the next aircraft carrier deployment after sailors aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln complained of grueling conditions and essential shortages during a nearly nine-month mission. With the USS Theodore Roosevelt set to head out of San Diego for a seven-to-eight month deployment later this month, Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Daryl Caudle revealed in a video announcement Tuesday the vessel is “maximizing its loadout of food, retail products, and hygiene items before getting underway.
