Apparently, worker solidarity has its limits! While Democratic Socialists of America bigwigs were inside Chicago’s upscale Hyatt Regency hotel telling more than 2,000 comrades “we need to rebuild labor power” at the Socialism 2026 conference, actual union workers were outside protesting for fair wages and a new contract. DSA leaders, along with controversial streamer Hasan Piker, held a panel Friday afternoon inside the four-star $500 a night hotel, to discuss the socialist organization’s 2026 program, ironically titled “Workers Deserve More. ” 4 Hasan Piker spoke at a DSA panel in Chicago.
