BALTIMORE — The comparisons have been there for a while, and certainly since George Lombard Jr. made his debut with the Yankees earlier this month. At shortstop, he can make plays up the middle and deep in the hole to his right, as Lombard did in Tuesday’s win over the Orioles, when he took a hit away from Christian Encarnacion-Strand to open the bottom of the fourth.
