Fred Warner is pushing back on the idea that an overaggressive attempt to force a fumble caused one of the San Francisco 49ers’ strangest training camp injuries. Running back Jordan James suffered fractured ribs during the second day of camp in July, a particularly unusual injury considering the 49ers had not yet put on pads. Fred Warner clarified that a viral clip of a punchout at 49ers practice was not the play that fractured Jordan James’ ribs.
