WASHINGTON – Violent crime rates in the US have plummeted with their biggest one-year drop on record, according to a new FBI report that President Trump touted Friday as evidence that he’s “making America safe again. ” The 2025 Uniform Crime Report showed violent crime was down 9. 3% from the previous year, murder was down 18.
