The Big East has its new leader. The conference is reportedly set to hire ex-MLB executive Tim Brosnan as its next commissioner, per ESPN. A native New Yorker, Brosnan will succeed the retiring Val Akerman, who will step down at the end of August following 13 years at the helm.
