WASHINGTON — President Trump is demanding “a head for an eye” when it comes to attacking Iran, Secretary of State Marco Rubio told reporters Thursday, updating the Old Testament formula of reciprocal justice. “I saw [Abbas] Araghchi, their foreign minister, who the other day said something about their policies, ‘an eye for an eye. ’ The president’s policy is a head for an eye,” Rubio said following the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) meeting of foreign ministers in the Philippines.
