BOSTON — It seemed like Jazz Chisholm Jr. was determined to exit Sunday night’s 5-4, 10-inning loss to the Red Sox well before it was over. The second baseman, hitting leadoff for the first time this season, was tossed after striking out to end the top of the sixth for arguing a checked-swing third strike.
