Andy Green will receive a half-season as Mets manager. Beyond that, he plans on returning to his old job. For Green, that will mean overseeing the organization’s player development, a role he held for the last 2 ½ seasons before he was tabbed to replace fired Carlos Mendoza on Friday in the Mets dugout.
