The San Francisco 49ers have made their stance quite clear on the drama that has ensued between the team and wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk. Aiyuk is in the midst of a four-year, $120 million contract with the 49ers, but has been sidelined for nearly two years after tearing his ACL and MCL in his right knee in October 2024 in a Week 7 game against the Kansas City Chiefs. The strained relationship appeared to fester for several months after Aiyuk’s ongoing contract saga ahead of the 2024 season and seeped into the offseason when the 28-year-old skipped several rehab sessions.
