Warsh, nominated by President Donald Trump to replace Jerome Powell, has said the Fed should remain "strictly independent" in setting monetary policy. C-SPAN The Senate confirmed on Wednesday Kevin Warsh as the next chair of the Federal Reserve, replacing Jerome Powell. The vote was largely along party lines and followed the one on Tuesday that confirmed him as governor of the central bank.
