The Star Wars collectable, featuring the hero of the original sci-fi franchise, more than doubled a previous record for such an item. The 1977 Topps Series 1 card, which would have come in a pack with a stick of pink gum, was described as ‘mint’ condition by Dallas-based Heritage Auctions.
