Pixabay Texas moves more freight than any other state in the nation. The combination of two international border crossings in Laredo and El Paso, the deepwater Port of Houston, a massive petrochemical and energy industry requiring constant supply chain support, and the sheer geographic scale of the state creates a freight economy that depends on hundreds of thousands of commercial trucks operating on Texas roads every day. That economic scale generates enormous value - and enormous risk.
