The red-hot Padres turned to a local to help boost their pitching staff. San Diego signed veteran righty Lucas Giolito to a one-year deal with a mutual option for the 2027 season, the team announced Wednesday. Giolito, a Southern California native, can earn $3 million prorated, according to The Post’s Jon Heyman.
