Mayor Zohran Mamdani blasted the Democratic Party’s lack of vision Sunday while touting his “productive” and surprising bromance with President Trump. The fledgling mayor, a 34-year-old Democratic socialist, was asked by “Meet the Press” host Kristen Welker whether massive “generational change” was needed to replace older politicians with younger candidates to invigorate the national Democratic Party. “It’s time to have a party that reflects the urgency we see across our country, in terms of a hunger, frankly, that is not as much tied just to age, but vision,” Mamdani said.
