Needed off the air. NBC reportedly has a contingency plan in place for “Today” show host Savannah Guthrie — including a three-word phrase — in the event that news breaks live about her mother Nancy’s disappearance while she’s on the air. An insider at “Today” told the Daily Mail that if a major development in Nancy Guthrie’s abduction case breaks while Savannah is on air, a producer would tell the 54-year-old “Today” host that she’s “needed off set” — a code word that Guthrie is well aware of.
