A puppy with a will to live is tugging at heartstrings — and opening wallets. Pasadena Humane blew past its $7,000 goal, raking in $23,000 as of Friday afternoon to save Peanut, a tiny pup who arrived at the Southern California shelter with devastating injuries, a spokesperson told the California Post. Peanut came through the doors in one of the most gut-wrenching cases staff have seen: most of his nose was gone, his was jaw dislocated and his life was uncertain.
