WASHINGTON — Tarris Reed Jr. scored 20 points, Alex Karaban added 17, and both made pressure-packed free throws in the final minute that helped second-seeded UConn hold off third-seeded Michigan State 67-63 in the Sweet 16 on Friday night. The Huskies (32-5) led 63-62 when Karaban was fouled with 22.
