The Strait of Hormuz is critical for oil and gas exports. Bloomberg Iran has announced it will reopen the Strait of Hormuz, a critical waterway through which approximately 20 million barrels of oil pass daily, but only to non-hostile vessels. The announcement followed US President Donald Trump's disclosure that he had received what he described as a significant, oil-and-gas-related 'present' from Iran, though he did not elaborate on its nature.
