PORT ST. LUCIE — Carson Benge has passed the eye test in spring training, solidifying his case to crack the Opening Day roster as the starting Mets right fielder. “I just felt like I wanted to come in and play the way I know how, play hard,” said Benge, the organization’s top position prospect.
