A cold-hearted Florida man allegedly gunned down his 83-year-old dementia-stricken wife in their home – telling police rotting in prison would be easier than caring for her, authorities said. William Elwood Simmons, 80, was arrested and hit with a first-degree murder charge after shooting his wife, Nancy, dead in the kitchen of their Orlando home while arguing about a cruise around 5:15 p. m.
