These are some Amazin’ auction items. The late great Mets pitcher Tom Seaver’s Hall of Fame induction plaque and 1969 World Series championship ring are two of nearly 200 items from his personal collection being sold at Heritage Auctions’ Winter Platinum Sports Catalog auction through March 1. The 10-carat gold ring with a diamond inset, engraved with the words “New York Mets World Champions 1969” and Seaver’s signature, could fetch $300,000.
