Fears, the Michigan State star, got a pivotal technical foul in the Spartans’ 76-73 upset loss to Minnesota on Wednesday after delivering a low blow to the Gophers’ Langston Reynolds. It came after May, Michigan’s coach, was critical of the rival program’s tactics during a 83-71 Wolverines win Friday night.
