American singer Karina Pasian said she was completely caught off guard by criticism over her outfit during her national anthem performance before the Commanders-Dolphins game in Spain on Sunday. The Grammy nominee — who wore a vintage Marc Jacobs mini dress, thigh-high stockings and garters — told TMZ Sports that the NFL approved her ensemble days prior to kickoff. Although she “loved” her outfit, Pasian apologized “if anyone felt offended” by her cabaret-inspired look.
