The US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has launched an investigation into nearly 175,000 Tesla Model Y SUVs from the 2021 model year. The probe comes after multiple reports that faulty electronic door handles prevented owners from opening the vehicle's doors, sometimes trapping children inside.
