Championship baseball is back in the five boroughs. The Brooklyn Cyclones — the High-A affiliate of the Mets — captured their first South Atlantic League championship on Tuesday night with a 2-1 win over the Hub City Spartanburgers to complete a sweep for the club’s third overall title in franchise history. It marked the first for the Cyclones since they made the move to the full-season South Atlantic League in 2021 in conjunction with the restructuring of Minor League Baseball.
