President Trump’s tariffs brought in $7. 6 billion more in customs payments in April than what the US collected the previous month as duties on imported goods ramped up, the Treasury Department said Monday. The customs duties in April totaled $16 billion, about a $9 billion increase from the year-earlier period and far eclipsing the previous record of $9.
