Inter Miami officially announced Messi’s injury Monday evening, confirming that he had an MRI earlier in the day to “assess the extent of the discomfort in his adductor region, which he experienced during last night’s match against Atlanta United. ” The exam found the injury and the team said in the statement that Messi’s “clinical progress and response to treatment will determine his availability for competition.
