Gotham FC gets $100 million in capital funding to reportedly become most-valued pro women’s soccer franchise

Gotham FC is raking in the big bucks after establishing itself as one of the NWSL’s top clubs.   With the NWSL playoffs starting this weekend, Gotham has raised $100 million in capital funding thanks to seven new minority investors, the club announced Friday.   The club’s funding frenzy was in part to “accelerate its growth through continued investment in players, infrastructure and fan experiences,” Gotham said in a statement.
