Florida cops debunked a false claim that a 17-year-old student — allegedly beaten by nine classmates after standing up to bullies — was planning to shoot up a high school football game, authorities said. The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that the threat was fabricated and determined to be non-credible after deputies interviewed the teen victim and his family, according to Fox 35 Orlando and the Osceola County Gazette. Authorities said the rumor was planted “to make the victim look bad” and distract from the cruel off-campus beatdown that led to the arrests of nine Harmony High School students on Wednesday.
