Karen Bass has called out Nithya Raman for continuously ”flip-flopping” on whether she’ll keep LAPD chief Jim McDonnell in the top cop spot after two television interviews over the weekend. Raman was quizzed on Saturday if she’d fire the chief – while an interview on NBC Sunday focused on rumors she’s wanted to replace soft-on-crime former DA George Gascón in his place. Nithya Raman issued a word-salad denial on making controversial former District Attorney George Gascón head of the LAPD.
