Nor’easter to bring weekend flooding, high winds to NYC-area

A strong nor’easter is set to rip into New York City and bring coastal flooding and winds as strong as 50 mph, with the storm threatening to linger into Monday. High winds first hit the region Friday morning, with the rain forecasted to begin on Long Island before rolling into the city as early as 8 p. m.
