NYPD heroically rescues woman about to jump off Brooklyn Bridge, harrowing video shows

Cops rescued a woman who was perched in the cables of the Brooklyn Bridge Friday and appeared to be close to jumping. Crowds of pedestrians watched as the woman, who cops have not yet named, climbed past the pedestrian walkway onto the bridge’s steel beams shortly before noon. Video showed her perched high on a metal utility box attached to the steel beams dangling her feet over the treacherous water below.
