Middle school’s ‘Teacher of the Year’ accused of shooting two men in the street

A Louisiana school’s recent “Teacher of the Year” has been busted for attempted murder for allegedly trying to gun down two people in the street, according to cops. Middle school teacher Kyle Delaney, 25, was arrested after two men were found with gunshot wounds on Tuesday afternoon in Donaldsonville, about 35 miles south of Baton Rouge, including one who was hit several times, the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office said. “Detectives learned that Delaney arrived at the victims’ location, exited his vehicle and fired multiple shots in their direction before fleeing the scene,” the department said without giving a motive.
