Chiefs have Chris Berman to thank for 90-year-old trick play

The Chiefs went back, back, back into the history books for a game-changing play on Monday night. Late in Kansas City’s 31-10 dismantling of the Broncos on “Monday Night Football,” Patrick Mahomes flipped a pass forward to Kenneth Walker III, and the running back, coming across from the left side of the line of scrimmage, did the rest of a 2-yard touchdown. The play wasn’t actually from the mind of head coach Andy Reid, however.
