Cam Skattebo’s return to his vintage Giants form comes with celebration pledge after backflip

This time, Cam Skattebo landed the flip.   In his first regular-season game back from the horrific open tibia fracture and right ankle dislocation that ended his rookie season, and two months after the controversial backflip he didn’t land during a Fanatics Fest appearance, Skattebo unveiled his signature celebration after recording the Giants’ first touchdown during their 28-20 win over the Cowboys in the season opener Sunday at MetLife Stadium. Skattebo finished with 81 yards on 18 carries and bailed himself out by recovering his own fumble in the fourth quarter, and in a way, his flip symbolized his emphatic return to the Giants and the top of their rushing pecking order.
