A maniac was arrested last week in a billionaire’s enclave outside Santa Barbara after he allegedly tried to set his girlfriend on fire. Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s responded to the scene near Highway 101 and the Sheffield Drive onramp in Montecito in Friday morning after a 911 caller reported that she was being threatened and that an attempt had been made to ignite her, cops said. The woman told deputies she had been at a nearby homeless encampment with her boyfriend, 47-year-old Jason Tucker, when the two got into a spat.
