Geraldo Perdomo leaves Diamondbacks game after getting drilled by line drive in scary scene

Arizona Diamondbacks’ shortstop and leadoff hitter Geraldo Perdomo was drilled in the head with a line drive on Sunday while running the bases. In a 1-1 game against the Houston Astros in the top of the third inning, Ketel Marte hit a Peter Lambert pitch 93 MPH off the bat, sending Perdomo crashing to the ground between first and second base, holding his head as trainers and coaches rushed to his aid.   Perdomo was declared out after he was unable to reach second base due to the injury.
