Devils acquire rising winger Luke Evangelista in trade with Predators

New Devils GM Sunny Mehta isn’t done shaking up their roster with training camp right around the corner. New Jersey acquired Predators winger Luke Evangelista on Tuesday for a conditional 2028 first-round pick and a 2028 second-rounder. The first-round pick is originally from the Avalanche, and the Predators would receive Colorado’s 2029 first-rounder if the Avs’ 2027 first-rounder isn’t transferred to the Maple Leafs, or if the 2028 first-rounder is in the top 10.
