LIV Golf laying off almost everybody as ‘next chapter’ begins

LIV Golf is going forward with its plan to lay off the “majority” of its United States and United Kingdom employees in the first week of September, Sportico reported. This staff reduction is being presented as a way to secure the flailing league’s future after Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) ended its financial backing. LIV Golf reportedly filed a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act notice in July in preparation for such a move.
