Mourners blanketed the front entrance to late country queen Dolly Parton’s Tennessee home with balloons and flowers just hours after the news broke she had died at age 80 after a brief bout with cancer. The makeshift memorial was lovingly arranged at the front gates of the “Jolene” and “9 to 5” crooner’s Brentwood estate, with colorful bouquets, hand-written signs and butterfly-shaped balloons – a nod to her 1974 hit “Love Is Like a Butterfly. ” The signs featured messages like “We love Dolly,” “We will always love you” and “Y’all means u all,” with the word “all” colored in to resemble the pride flag in tribute to her status as an LGBTQ icon.
