A former television news anchor has admitted to murdering her 80-year-old mother on Halloween last year at their Kansas home after believing she was possessed by the devil. Angelynn “Angie” Mock pleaded guilty on Friday to one count of first-degree murder for fatally stabbing her mother, Anita Avers, at their shared Wichita home on Oct. 31, 2025, the Sedgwick County District Attorney’s Office announced.
