That’s a wrap on a popular Kips Bay movie theater. The curtain is closing on the AMC Kips Bay 15 after becoming a staple for moviegoers for nearly three decades. The theater opened back in 1999 with five screens on Second Avenue and then moved to its current location — 570 2nd Ave — in 2006.
